Returns & Refunds Policy
At THE HAMPER CO, we take great care in preparing every order. Please read our returns policy carefully, as some items are exempt from returns due to their nature.
This policy complies with UK consumer law and does not affect your statutory rights.
Returns
If you are purchasing as a consumer (not a business), you have the right to return eligible items within 14 days of receiving your order, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
To be eligible for a return:

You must notify us within 14 days of delivery

Items must be unused, unopened, and in their original packaging

Items must be returned within 14 days of your return request being approved
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are non-returnable and non-refundable, unless they arrive faulty or damaged:

Personalised or custom-made gift boxes

Alcoholic products

Perishable goods, including chocolates and food items

Opened or used candles

Branded products (e.g. Jo Malone, Hotel Chocolat) that are not returned unopened and in original packaging

Corporate and bulk orders
Corporate & Bulk Orders
Corporate orders include (but are not limited to):

Bulk hamper purchases

Business or client gifting

Bespoke, branded, or customised orders
Corporate and bulk orders are produced to specific requirements and are therefore final sale.
Once confirmed or production has begun, these orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded, except where goods are faulty or incorrect.
Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with clear photographic evidence.
Alcohol Purchases
By placing an order containing alcohol, you confirm that you and the recipient are 18 years of age or over.
Alcohol purchases are final sale unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect on delivery.
Damages & Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt.
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery, including:

Clear photos of the item(s) and packaging
We will assess the issue and offer a replacement, partial refund, or full refund, where appropriate.
Refunds
Once your return is approved:

Refunds will be processed within 5–10 working days

Refunds are issued to the original payment method

Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty or incorrect
Gift Orders
If an order is marked as a gift or sent directly to a recipient, any refund will be issued to the original purchaser only.
